Top candidates for the 2027 and 2028 NHL drafts will be on display at Canada's under-18 training camp later this month in Edmonton.
Projected No. 1 2027 pick Landon DuPont and fellow top '27 prospect Alexis Joseph will be with the team when camp starts July 27 ahead of the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in the Alberta capital.
Hockey Canada announced the 27-player camp roster Wednesday.
DuPont will play at the University of Michigan next season after leading the Everett Silvertips to the WHL championship and Memorial Cup final this year. The defenceman was granted exceptional status into the WHL in 2024, allowing him to start in the league a year early.
DuPont played for Canada at last year's Hlinka Gretzky Cup when the team won bronze.
The six-foot-five Joseph, a forward, is entering his second year with the QMJHL's Saint John Sea Dogs. He had 60 points (24 goals and 36 assists) in 54 games in his rookie season.
Joseph played for Canada at the world under-18 championship this past spring.
Also on the camp roster as underagers are 2028 NHL Draft prospects Maddox Schultz and Liam Pue.
The Regina Pats teammates both played 34 games in the WHL while spending the other half of the season with an under-18 team in the Saskatchewan city as part of the new Western Canada Development Model.
Other familiar names on the roster include Sarnia Sting defenceman Kaden Aucoin, son of ex-NHLer Adrian Aucoin, and Kingston Frontenacs forward Aleks Kulemin, son of former NHLer Nikolay Kulemin.
The camp will be used to select the Canadian team for the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, which runs Aug. 3-8.
