SHAWINIGAN, Que. -- Christopher Merisier-Ortiz scored and added an assist as the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada downed the Gatineau Olympiques 5-2 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action on Saturday afternoon to take a 2-1 series lead.
Blake Richardson scored the game winner for the Armada in the second period and goaltender Charles Edward Gravel made 18 saves.
Simon Pinard, Charles Boutin and Alexis Gendron also scored for the Armada, who outshot Gatineau 26-20.
Metis Roelens and Andrew Coxhead scored for the Olympiques while Remi Poirier turned away 21 shots.
Game 4 in the best-of-five series goes Monday as Gatineau looks to stave off elimination.

BATHURST, N.B. -- Ben Allison scored the game-winning goal in the second overtime period to lift Acadie-Bathurst (4-2-0) over Moncton (2-2-1) in the 2021 President's Cup Series.
Logan Chisholm scored twice for Acadie-Bathurst and Francesco Iasenza got two for Moncton.
The Titan were behind 3-1 in the second period before scoring three unanswered goals. Anthony Hamel forced overtime for the Wildcats with a third-period tally.
