QMJHL Roundup: Tigres beat Foreurs, within win of capturing President Cup

QUEBEC -- Nikolas Hurtubise stopped 33 shots including all 24 his way over the final two periods, and the Victoriaville Tigres beat the Val-d'Or Foreurs 3-1 on Thursday to move within one victory of capturing the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League championship.

Hurtubise was scored on by Val-d'Or forward Jakob Pelletier at 11:51 of the first period, but shut the door the rest of the way as Victoriaville took Game 5 for a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven President Cup Final.

Olivier Coulombe, Nicolas Daigle and Benjamin Tardif supplied the offence for the Tigres, who can end the series Saturday.

Jonathan Lemieux made 19 saves for the Foreurs.
