QMJHL Roundup: Tourigny, Denis score two apiece in Armada's thrashing of Eagles

CAPE BRETON, N.B. — Miguel Tourigny and Mikael Denis each scored twice to lead the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada to a 7-1 rout of the Cape Breton Eagles in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Friday.

Simon Lavigne, Charles Boutin and Simon Pinard also scored for the Armada, who outshot the Eagles 48-27. Zachary Roy had three assists.

Jacob Squires scored the lone goal for Cape Breton.

Armada goalie Charles-Edward Gravel stopped 26 shots in the win, while Cape Breton netminder Remi Delafontaine stopped 41 shots.

MOOSEHEADS 5, HUSKIES 2

HALIFAX — Zachary L'Heureux had two goals, including the game-winner in Halifax's victory over Rouyn-Noranda.

Jordan Dumais, Robert Orr and Elliot Desnoyers also scored for Halifax. L'Heureux connected for the winner on a power play at 5:07 of the second period.

Daniil Bourash and Samuel Johnson scored for the Huskies.

Brady James made 20 saves for Halifax, while Huskies netminder Mathis Dorcal-Madore turned aside 33 shots in the loss.

DRAKKAR 3, WILDCATS 2

BAIE-COMEAU, QUE. -- Jacob Gaucher scored the game-winner in the third period to lift Baie-Comeau over Moncton.

Isaac Dufort and Andrew Belchamber had Drakkar's other goals.

Vincent Labell and Francois Langlois scored for Moncton, who rallied for two goals down to tie the game in the second period.

Drakkar goalie Olivier Adam made 29 saves, while Thomas Couture stopped 29 shots for Moncton.

REMPARTS 4, ISLANDERS 1

CHARLOTTETOWN -- Zachary Bolduc scored twice, while Nathan Gaucher got the game-winner in Quebec's win over Charlottetown.

Zachary Gravel also scored for the Remparts, while Patrick Guay had the lone goal for the Islanders.

Remparts goalie William Rousseau made 28 saves in the victory, while Charlottetown netminder Oliver Satny turned aside 32 shots.

PHOENIX 6, TIGRES 4

SHERBROOKE, QUE. -- Xavier Parent scored twice, and Joshua Roy had the game-winner plus two assists to lead Sherbrooke to a victory over Victoriaville.

The Phoenix also got goals from Zachary Lessard, Julien Anctil and Justin Gill.

Tommy Cormier, Maxime Pellerin, Raphael Blouin and Conor Frenette scored for the Tigres.

Phoenix goalie Ivan Zhigalov made 14 saves, while Frederic Duteau turned aside 26 shots in the loss.

CATARACTES 5, SAGUENEENS 2

CHICOUTIMI, QUE. -- Olivier Nadeau scored the game-winner in the second period plus had two assists in Shawinigan's victory over Chicoutimi.

Isaac Menard, Xavier Bourgault, Anthony DiCesare and Martin Has also scored in the victory.

Andrei Loshko had both goals for the Sagueneens.

Antoine Coulombe made 28 saves in the win, while Chicoutimi's netminder Sergei Litvinov stopped 19 shots.

VOLTIGEURS 4, FOREURS 1

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. -- Jacob Dion scored the game-winner in the second period as Drummondville scored three unanswered goals to beat Val-d'Or.

Charlie Da Fonseca, Jeremy Lapointe and Luke Woodworth, into an empty net, also scored for the Voltigeurs.

The Foreurs' lone goal came from Ludovic Dufort.

Drummondville's goalie Francesco Lapenna made 32 saves, while William Blackburn stopped 26 shots for Val-D'Or.

OLYMPIQUES 4, OCEANIC 2

RIMOUSKI, QUE. -- Manix Landry scored twice, while Antonin Verreault had the game-winner and an assist to lead Gatineau to a victory over Rimouski.

Noah Warren scores the Olympiques' other goal, while Remi Poirier stopped 32 shots in the win.

Rimouski goalie Patrik Hamrla made 24 saves.
