The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League plans to finish its season no later than June 15, which means the Memorial Cup could be moving to a later date.

The QMJHL announced Friday its plan to resume a full schedule, starting Feb. 3.

The Memorial Cup is scheduled for June 4-13 in Saint John, N.B. The national championship tournament has not been played the past two years.

The QMJHL says the regular season is slated to finish May 1, with playoffs going May 5 to June 13.

The QMJHL hasn’t played a game since Dec. 18 because of COVID-19 issues.

The Western Hockey League and Ontario Hockey League have continued their schedules, but have had numerous postponements.
