For the first time since 2016, the Toronto Blue Jays are back in the playoffs. Before the action gets underway, Sportsnet insiders Arden Zwelling and Ben Nicholson-Smith previewed the best-of-three wild card series against the Tampa Bay Rays on a live edition of At The Letters.
The show began with the guys discussing the team's curious decision to start Matt Shoemaker in Game 1 and Hyun-Jin Ryu in Game 2. They were then joined by Sportsnet analyst Joe Siddall to discuss the emergence of Alejandro Kirk and the overall catching picture. Finally, left-hander Ryan Borucki joined Zwelling and Sportsnet insider Shi Davidi to give some insight into how the team is preparing for the Rays.
