The Toronto Blue Jays have added another infielder.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have traded Luis Urias to the Blue Jays in exchange for cash, Sportsnet confirmed on Saturday.
The Athletic's Mitch Bannon was first to report the news.
Urias is an eight-year MLB veteran who hasn't been able to crack the Diamondbacks' big-league roster this season. He's previously played for the San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners and the Athletics.
He had a slash line of .230/.315/.338 with eight homers in 96 games with the Athletics in 2025.
In his career, Urias holds a slash line of .231/.329/.378 with 60 home runs.
Urias is expected to join the Blue Jays' big league club after exercising an upward mobility clause, per Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith.
