The Toronto Blue Jays have activated catcher Alejandro Kirk from the 10-day injured list and he will be available for Thursday's game against the San Fransisco Giants, the team announced Thursday.
The Blue Jays also optioned Tyler Heineman to Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move.
Kirk has been away from the team since June 18th after being hit by a fastball on his left hand and subsequently leaving the game against the Texas Rangers. X-Rays taken at the time came back negative.
The 24-year-old is batting .253 this season, with three home runs and 21 RBI. Last season, he earned a trip to the 2022 All-Star Game in addition to a Silver Slugger award.
