The Toronto Blue Jays have activated utility man Jake Lamb after claiming him off waivers from the Chicago White Sox on Friday.
Lefty pitcher Kirby Snead was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo after being called up for Toronto’s dramatic 11-10 comeback victory over the Oakland Athletics Friday night. Snead did not pitch in the game.

Lamb made his MLB debut with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2014 and had his most successful campaign in 2017, when he was named an All-Star.
The 30-year-old hasn’t reached that success again in the intervening years. Across 43 appearances with Chicago this season, he slashed .212/.321/.389 with six home runs and 13 RBIs.
Lamb will be available as the Blue Jays get set to face the Athletics again at 3:07 p.m. ET on Saturday. Watch the game live on Sportsnet or SN Now.
