Blue Jays activate reliever Jordan Romano from injured list

The Toronto Blue Jays have reinstated Jordan Romano from the 10-day injured list, making the reliever available for Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Romano was placed on the injured list with ulnar neuritis on April 15. In four relief appearances this season, the Markham Ont., native has posted a 2.70 ERA with four strikeouts in 3.1 innings of work.

Toronto also recalled right-hander Ty Tice from the alternate training site. The 24-year-old made his MLB debut on April 9 after being drafted by the Blue Jays in 2017.

Left-hander Travis Bergen and Josh Palacios were optioned to the alternate site to make room on the active roster.
