Press pause on Addison Barger's return from injury.
The Toronto Blue Jays outfielder was scratched late from Sunday's starting lineup due to right elbow soreness.
After the team's loss, manager John Schneider said Barger was going for an MRI.
Schneider added that outfielder Daulton Varsho "jammed his heel a bit" at first base, but also said that he's fine.
Barger returned to the lineup Saturday after missing one month with a left ankle sprain.
He was 0-for-3 at the plate with two walks and one run in a 14-1 win, but his game was highlighted by a rocket throw from right field to catch Jorge Soler attempting to tag from third base.
With Barger out, Myles Straw drew in and took over in left field, while Jesus Sanchez slid over to right field.
Barger, who had been slated to bat lead-off, was replaced atop the batting order by Ernie Clement.
On the mound, Spencer Miles got ball as an opener ahead of left-hander Eric Lauer, who struggled allowing seven baserunners and six earned runs over five innings.
