Blue Jays agree to terms with four international free-agent pitchers

The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to deals with four international free agents in Jeury Hiciano, Kendry Rojas, Johan Simon and Geison Urbaez.

Hicianom, Simon and Urbaez are from the Dominican Republic while Rojas pitched in Cuba.

The international signing period was extended until October as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. MLB also moved the 2020-21 signing period from July 2, 2020 to Jan. 15, 2021.
