The Toronto Blue Jays have added to their list of spring training invites.
Catcher C.J. Stubbs agreed to the terms of a minor-league contract and received a spring training invite from the Blue Jays on Friday.
The 29-year-old spent the 2025 season with the Washington Nationals and had a .169/.293/.316 slash line with 16 extra-base hits and 24 RBIs. He made his MLB debut against the Miami Marlins on Sept. 1, 2025.
The Astros picked Stubbs in the 10th round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft from the University of Southern California. Over his time with both the Astros and the Nationals the San Diego, Calif. native has appeared in 481 career minor league games and had a .206 batting average with 72 doubles, seven triples, 72 home runs and 212 RBIs.
The Blue Jays have also extended a spring training invite to right-handed pitcher Connor Seabold. The 30-year-old signed a minor league contract with the team on Jan. 25.
