The injury bug won't let up on the Toronto Blue Jays.
Andres Gimenez exited Thursday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays in the fourth inning with right hamstring tightness, the Blue jays announced.
Gimenez hit a grounder and, after he was called out at first base, winced and grabbed at his hamstring.
Manager John Schneider shuffled the infield to accommodate the change, with Ernie Clement moving to shortstop, Kazuma Okamoto to third base, Charles McAdoo to second base and Brandon Valenzuela playing at first.
In 388 at-bats this season, Gimenez has eight home runs, 49 RBIs while slashing .240/.284/.640. He went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases before exiting.
This is yet another in an injury-plagued season for the Blue Jays, who are without Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Trey Yesavage, among others.
