The Toronto Blue Jays have reinstated infielder Cavan Biggio from the 10-day injured list and he will be active against the New York Yankees on Tuesday night.

The Blue Jays have also optioned pitcher Ryan Borucki, who infamously threw a pitch at Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier last week, to Triple-A.

Biggio's season has been riddled with injuries. The 26-year-old was initially placed on the 10-day injured list on Aug. 3 due to mid-back tightness and later sustained a Grade 1 UCL sprain in his left elbow while diving for a ball in the outfield during his minor-league rehab assignment with triple-A Buffalo.

He has seven homers and 26 RBIs in 246 at-bats and a slash line of .215/.316/.350 with the Blue Jays this season.

Borucki, 27, has a 4.94 ERA in 23.2 innings pitched in the majors this season. He's coming off a two-game suspension for the pitch that hit Kiermaier last week.
