Blue Jays bring back outfielder Bradley Zimmer off waivers from Phillies

Hazel Mae and Arden Zwelling discuss why the Toronto Blue Jays decided to reacquire outfielder Bradley Zimmer, and the potential candidates to fill in the last roster spot.

The Toronto Blue Jays have claimed Bradley Zimmer off waivers from the Philadelphia Phillies.

Zimmer returns for his second stint with the Blue Jays after he was designated for assignment in order to make room for George Springer to come off the injured list.

Philadelphia claimed the outfielder off waivers on Aug. 18 and appeared in nine games.

The 29-year-old is slashing .130/.216/.250 through 86 games this season with the Blue Jays and Phillies.
