Blue Jays CF George Springer's left wrist x-rays come back negative

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider confirms Kevin Gausman will start tomorrow, also says George Springer is feeling 'okay' and x-ray was negative for fracture on his wrist.

Toronto Blue Jays slugger George Springer had x-rays on his left wrist that came back negative after the club's 4-0 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Friday.

Springer was hit by a pitch from Mariners ace Luis Castillo in the eighth inning and instantly fell to the ground in pain, but ultimately stayed in the game.

The 33-year-old had two hits in three at-bats as the Blue Jays fell down 1-0 in the AL Wild Card series.

Game 2 takes place Saturday at 4:07 p.m. ET in Toronto, with the Blue Jays needing a win to keep their season alive.
