Recently acquired outfielder Jarrod Dyson will join the Toronto Blue Jays in Detroit tomorrow or Sunday, team manager Charlie Montoyo said.

The Blue Jays claimed Dyson off waivers from the Kansas City Royals on Friday.

The 37-year-old was on his second stint in Kansas City after agreeing to a one-year, $1.5 million contract in free agency. In 77 games, Dyson slashed .221/.256/.311 with 10 RBIs and eight stolen bases.

Toronto is still without star outfielder George Springer, who continues to work his way back from a knee sprain. Dyson should provide depth off the bench after making 19 appearances in centre field for the Royals this season.
