Right-handed pitcher Casey Lawrence is rejoining the Toronto Blue Jays.
Toronto claimed the veteran reliever off waivers from the Seattle Mariners on Monday.
Lawrence recorded a 3.60 ERA and four strikeouts over 10.0 innings in four games with the Mariners this season.
It marks the 37-year-old's third stint with the organization. Lawrence appeared in four games with the Blue Jays in 2017 and six games in 2022.
He holds a career 5-5 record, 6.51 ERA with 101 strikeouts in 134.0 combined innings over 63 games with the Blue Jays, Mariners and St. Louis Cardinals.
Lawrence has traditionally served as a swingman, often appearing in long relief while also making two major league starts in 2017 and starting the majority of the games he has appeared in at the minor league level.
The Blue Jays (13-15) lost both games of a doubleheader Sunday against the New York Yankees and return to action Tuesday at home against the Boston Red Sox.
