Toronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen and pitcher Yimi Garcia are taking another step closer to returning to action with the club.
Jansen and Garcia have joined the triple-A Buffalo Bisons on injury rehab assignments and will be active for Monday's game, according to the team.
Jansen, 27, has been sidelined for almost a month with a fractured left pinkie finger and hit .232 with seven home runs and 13 RBI in 19 games this season.
Garcia, 31, hasn't played since June 21 due to a sore back. The right-handed reliever has a 1-3 record with a 3.42 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 26 strikeouts in 28 appearances.
