Daulton Varsho's bat just might be major-league ready.
The Toronto Blue Jays centre-fielder belted a home run for a third consecutive rehab game while playing for the triple-A Buffalo Bisons on Friday.
Varsho's two-run homer to right-centre in the second inning gave the Bisons a 4-0 lead over the host Columbus Clippers.
It was Varsho's first rehab game of this stint at the highest level of minor-league baseball. His previous two homers came for single-A Dunedin.
Friday marked the fifth rehab game for Varsho, who has been out since June 1 with a hamstring injury.
Varsho is slashing .207/.240/.543 with eight homers and 20 RBIs in 24 games for Toronto this season. A Gold Glove winner last year, Varsho was leading the Blue Jays in home runs this season when he went on the injured list.
