Yimi Garcia's season appears to be over.
The Toronto Blue Jays reliever has been diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome, manager John Schneider told reporters on Friday.
Garcia has yet to decide whether to undergo surgery, but his campaign is "most likely" over, per Schneider.
The right-hander has yet to pitch in the big leagues this season as he's recovered from off-season right elbow surgery.
Garcia has attempted to return to full health throughout this season, but he's been pulled from multiple rehab assignments with new injuries.
The 35-year-old is in the final year of a two-year, $15-million deal he inked with the Blue Jays before the 2025 season. He's managed just 22 MLB appearances during this contract, pitching to a 3.86 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 21 innings last year.
