George Springer is getting the day off.
The Toronto Blue Jays designated hitter is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's finale as Toronto aims to bounce back from a rough loss on Saturday.
Springer, 36, went 1-for-5 on Saturday with two strikeouts. He's slashing .212/.289/.359 with five home runs on the season.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will take over at DH, while rookie Charles McAdoo gets the start on first base.
Meanwhile, Spencer Miles will start on the mound as the Rule 5 pick looks to continue his successful rookie season. Miles owns a 2.16 ERA in 33.1 innings — lowest among all rookies with at least 30 innings pitched — with 32 strikeouts and nine walks.
