Right fielder George Springer will be back in his familiar leadoff spot when the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Minnesota Twins in a rubber match Sunday.
Springer was removed from the starting lineup Friday due to an illness. He returned Saturday as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning, reaching base on a walk, and took over in right field for Cavan Biggio.
The 34-year-old has struggled this season with a .206/.280/.298 slash line, three home runs and six RBIs.
Left fielder Davis Schneider moved up to leadoff during Springer's absence and went 3-for-7, including a double and a home run, over the two games.
Meanwhile, centre fielder Kevin Kiermaier will miss a third consecutive start due to illness.
Alek Manoah (0-0, 13.50 ERA) will start on the mound for the Blue Jays with the Twins sending Bailey Ober (3-1, 4.42).
Watch the Blue Jays face the Twins live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ with first pitch scheduled for 1:37 p.m. ET / 10:37 a.m. PT.
