Half of the Toronto Blue Jays infield is back from injury.
First baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and shortstop Andrés Giménez will return to the starting lineup for Tuesday's series opener against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 6:45 p.m. ET / 3:45 p.m. PT).
Guerrero Jr., will slot into his normal spot third in the batting order, while Giménez will bat eighth.
The first baseman missed the past two games after experiencing back tightness Friday against the New York Yankees.
The slumping star went 1-for-5 in that win, including an RBI double and a strikeout. On the season, he is slashing .280/.372/.366 with just three home runs and 26 RBIs.
Giménez was a late removal from Sunday's lineup because of left wrist soreness. The shortstop has slowed down after a hot start to the season, hitting .222 with six homers and 30 RBIs.
Dylan Cease will get the start for the Blue Jays as they look to bounce back from a series loss at home against the Yankees. The Red Sox will counter with power lefty Payton Tolle.
