Two Toronto Blue Jays could come away with some hardware after their impressive seasons.
Slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and outfielder George Springer have been named finalists for the 2025 American League Hank Aaron Award.
The award recognizes the most outstanding offensive performer in each league and represents Guerrero Jr.'s second nomination after winning in 2021.
Guerrero Jr. joins an elite field of finalists that includes former Hank Aaron Award winners Shohei Ohtani (2023-24), Aaron Judge (2022, 2024), and Christian Yelich (2018-19).
Throughout the 2025 regular season, Guerrero Jr. was a consistent offensive force for the Blue Jays, slashing .292/.381/.467 with a .848 OPS, 23 home runs, and 84 RBIs. He was named an all-star for the fifth time in his seven-year career.
Springer, meanwhile, was a more-than-pleasant surprise for the Blue Jays this season after a down year in 2024. The 36-year-old was dominant, posting a career-high .309 batting average with 32 home runs, 84 RBIs and a .959 OPS.
He turned the heat up further in the second half, hitting .369 with 16 home runs in 50 games.
