The Toronto Blue Jays will open Buffalo’s Sahlen Field to full capacity beginning this Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles. Sahlen Field can seat approximately 16,000 fans.
Fans attending games in Buffalo will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination and COVID-19 rules on physical distancing and face covers will be eased. All seating sections will be made available to all fans.
Monday’s announcement comes on the same day the Buffalo Bills announced they will open Highmark Stadium to full-capacity crowds to start the NFL season.
In addition to the announcement on expanded fan capacity, the Blue Jays also announced the team’s first fan giveaway day since the 2019 season. The first 7,000 fans in attendance for Friday’s game against the Orioles will receive a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. home run counter bobblehead.
