It looks like Andrés Giménez could be back with the Toronto Blue Jays next week.
The second baseman (quad) is scheduled to play two more rehab games with single-A Dunedin on Saturday and Sunday.
If all goes well, he could return to Toronto after Monday's off-day, Sportsnet's Arden Zwelling reports.
Giménez has had six at-bats the past two games with Dunedin.
The 26-year-old has an OPS of .577 and three homers through his first 36 games with the Blue Jays. His fielding has been, as expected, exceptional, as Giménez leads all second basemen with six defensive runs saved.
Giménez went on the 10-day injured list with a right quad strain on May 9.
Meanwhile, backup catcher Tyler Heineman (concussion) will begin a rehab assignment with triple-A Buffalo on Saturday. He’ll catch Saturday and DH on Sunday.
