Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer is feeling better after experiencing elbow discomfort during Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox.
The team's plan is for the 32-year-old to test out his swing before Friday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers to determine if he could be available off the bench as a pinch hitter.
Springer missed the team's series finale against the White Sox due to the discomfort.
The three time all-star is currently hitting .260 with 13 home runs and 34 RBI in the 2022 season.
Pitcher Nate Pearson suffered a right lat strain in his outing with triple-A Buffalo Bisons on Sunday. A recovery timetable is still being determined.
The Blue Jays also placed relief pitcher Yimi Garcia on the 15-day injured list with a left back strain while recalling right-hander Jeremy Beasley from the Bisons.
