The Toronto Blue Jays lost another player to injury on Wednesday.
Right fielder Jesús Sánchez exited in the seventh inning against the New York Yankees after attempting to make a diving catch on a bloop single by Paul Goldschmidt.
Sánchez appeared to slam onto the ground with his dive and was shown on the broadcast holding his chest while a team trainer and manager John Schneider came out to visit the 28-year-old.
Myles Straw entered into Sánchez's spot in the lineup, taking over in left field and pushing Yohendrick Piñango to right.
After the game, which the Blue Jays won 2-1, Schneider told reporters Sánchez was winded when he hit the ground and that he'll be reassessed on Thursday.
Sánchez was 2-for-2 with two singles and a walk before exiting.
He entered the game slashing .266/.303/.417 with five homers on the season.
The Blue Jays currently have outfielders Nathan Lukes and Addison Barger on the injured list.
