The Toronto Blue Jays will aim to rebound from a lopsided loss against the Boston Red Sox during Sunday's rubber match.

The Blue Jays powered to a 9-0 shutout in Friday's series opener, however, the tables were turned Saturday as the Red Sox roared back with a 15-1 rout.
It was an uncharacteristic outing for Blue Jays starting pitcher Chris Bassitt, who got the hook after only two innings while allowing nine runs, eight earned, on eight hits with four walks and three strikeouts.
Left-handed pitcher Eric Lauer heads to the hill Sunday for his sixth start of the season. Lauer holds a 4-1 record and 2.21 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 11 appearances.
The 30-year-old has picked up the win in his past two starts. He threw a season-high 5.1 innings and gave up just one run with five strikeouts in his most recent start last Tuesday against the Cleveland Guardians.
The Red Sox (41-43) will counter with two-time all-star Walker Buehler on the mound. The 30-year-old right-hander holds a 5-5 record and 6.29 ERA with 56 strikeouts in 13 games this season.
Sunday's game is the 10th meeting between the teams this year. Toronto leads the season series 6-3.
The Blue Jays (44-38) sit three games back of the division-leading New York Yankees in the American League East.
After Sunday's game, the Blue Jays return home to begin a four-game series against the Yankees on Monday.
