The Toronto Blue Jays have made a minor roster move.
Right-hander CJ Van Eyk has been optioned to triple-A Buffalo, the Blue Jays announced Sunday.
Van Eyk, a second-round pick by the Blue Jays in 2020, has pitched in four MLB games this season, owning a 4.02 ERA across 6.2 innings with one strikeout.
He last appeared in Friday's win against the Seattle Mariners, pitching one scoreless inning with one walk.
In Buffalo, Van Eyk was 6-3 with a 3.79 ERA over 21 appearances (15 starts). He was selected by the Blue Jays with the 42nd overall pick of the 2020 draft.
The Blue Jays have an off-day on Monday, but return Tuesday for a critical three-game set against the Cleveland Guardians.
