The Toronto Blue Jays have placed trade-deadline acquisition Joakim Soria on the 10-day injured list with right middle finger inflammation, the team announced Wednesday.
In a corresponding move, the club recalled lefty Tayler Saucedo from the Buffalo Bisons, the Blue Jays’ triple-A affiliate, and he will be active tonight against Cleveland.

Soria, who was sent to Toronto from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for two players to be named later, made a lone appearance for the Blue Jays, striking out one batter in a scoreless inning of work during their 5-2 loss to Cleveland on Monday.
The 37-year-old right-hander reliever has a 1-4 record with a 4.15 ERA and 32 strikeouts across 30.1 innings this season.
The Blue Jays’ four-game series vs. Cleveland continues Wednesday at 7:07 p.m. ET / 4:07 p.m. PT on Sportsnet after the clubs split the first two contests.
