Blue Jays place RHP Adam Cimber on injured list, recall RHP Bowden Francis

The Toronto Blue Jays placed Adam Cimber on the 15-day injured list on Saturday with a right shoulder impingement.

Bowden Francis has been recalled from triple-A Buffalo and will be active for Saturday's game against the Oakland Athletics.

In 22 games this season, Cimber has struggled, posting a 7.40 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 20.2 innings pitched. This will be the 32-year-old's second stint on the injured list after suffering a back strain back in April.

Francis has appeared in three games this season, posting a 3.68 ERA and seven strikeouts in 7.1 innings.
