Blue Jays place Waguespack on IL; Font, Zeuch join active roster

The Toronto Blue Jays made several roster moves ahead of their series finale against the New York Yankees on Thursday.

Right-hander Jacob Waguespack has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a left back strain. Waguespack has been shuffled back and forth from the active roster and alternate training site in Rochester as of late, recently returning to the roster on Wednesday. The 26-year-old has a 8.15 ERA in 17.2 innings pitched so far this season.

The Blue Jays have reinstated righty Wilmer Font from the the 10-day injured list. Font, who has a 8.78 ERA in 13.1 innings pitched this season, was dealing with a right shin contusion and will be active for Thursday's game against the Yankees.

Pitcher T.J. Zeuch will also be joining Font on Thursday's active roster from the alternate training site. The 24-year-old right-hander has earned a 4.76 ERA this season with 22.2 innings pitched.

In addition, the Blue Jays have optioned righty Hector Perez to the club's alternating training site and added him to the taxi squad. Outfielder Josh Palacios was also added to the taxi squad.
