The Toronto Blue Jays pulled outfielder George Springer from Wednesday's game against the Chicago White Sox with a right-hand contusion after he was hit by a pitch.
Springer had precautionary X-rays which came back negative.
In the third inning, Springer was hit on the hand by a pitch from White Sox starter Michael Kopech. He would later score after a double by Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
The Blue Jays replaced Springer with Cavan Biggio who took over in right field.
In 25 games, Springer is slashing .216/.283/.320 with three home runs and nine RBIs.
