The Toronto Blue Jays are making a slight adjustment to their roster as Will Wagner attends an important family ceremony.
Outfielder Alan Roden has been called up for Saturday's outing against the Detroit Tigers, and in a corresponding move, Wagner was placed on the restricted list, the team announced ahead of game time.

The Toronto Blue Jays are looking to sweep the Detroit Tigers in the finale of a four-game series on Sunday. Live coverage begins Sunday at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
Broadcast schedule
Wagner is set to be with his family in Cooperstown, N.Y., to attend the induction of his father, Billy Wagner, to the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
Roden has been with triple-A Buffalo since being optioned in late June. In 32 games with the Bisons over various stints this season, the 25-year-old is batting .331 with a .918 OPS, three home runs and 18 RBI.
He last suited up for the Blue Jays on June 27 and batted .206 with a .589 OPS and one home run in 42 major-league appearances.
Wagner, 26, has done well since being called up in place of Roden and is batting .243 with a .650 OPS in 36 games this season.
In addition to those two moves, Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Saturday that second baseman Andres Gimenez should be suiting up for rehab games in the next week "at the latest."
Gimenez is currently on the 10-day injured list with a left ankle sprain, suffering the injury on July 4 against the Los Angeles Angels.
It is Giménez's second stint on the injured list this season after missing 24 games with a quad strain between May 7 and June 3.
After a prolonged cold stretch, the Venezuelan infielder had just started to heat up, hitting .353 with one home run and nine RBIs over his last 10 games.
The Blue Jays, fresh off claiming the best overall record in MLB, are set to square off for Game 3 of a four-game set against the Tigers. Coverage begins on Sportsnet at 5:30 p.m. ET / 2:30 p.m. PT.
