The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled left-hander Anthony Kay from triple-A and optioned righty T.J. Zeuch, the team announced on Friday.

Kay will be active for Friday night's game against the Baltimore Orioles.

Kay was placed on the injured list on May 27 with a left fourth digit blister before being reinstated on June 3 and optioned to triple-A. The 26-year-old is 0-2 with a 6.62 ERA in 17.2 innings in five appearances for the Blue Jays this season.

Zeuch was recalled from triple-A on Thursday and started the series finale against the New York Yankees. He allowed five hits and three runs (two earned), striking out two batters and walking a pair over three innings.

Later on Friday, the Blue Jays announced that outfielder Jonathan Davis has been transferred from the paternity list to the restricted list in order to remain at home following the birth of his child.

The Blue Jays open a three-game weekend series in Baltimore on Friday with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET/4:05 p.m. PT. Watch the game on Sportsnet ONE and SN Now.
