A familiar face is returning to the Toronto Blue Jays bullpen.
Left-hander Mason Fluharty was recalled on Monday with righty reliever Robinson Pino optioned to triple-A, the team announced.
Fluharty, 23, has appeared in 37 games for the Blue Jays this season, going 3-2 with a 5.56 ERA and 38 strikeouts over 34 innings.
He struggled over his last 7.1 innings in June, allowing 13 runs, prompting his demotion to the minors.
Pina, 26, was acquired from the Miami Marlins in June. He has a 7.71 ERA and 2.57 WHIP in two appearances on the season.
The AL East-leading Blue Jays kick off a pivotal three-game series against the second-place New York Yankees on Monday.
