The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled right-handed pitcher Nate Pearson from triple-A Buffalo, the team announced prior to Saturday's game against the Chicago Cubs.
Toronto also placed right-handed pitcher Hagen Danner on the 15-day injured list due to a left oblique strain.
Danner had just been recalled from triple-A Buffalo and made his major-league debut Friday, but only faced one batter before leaving due to injury.
Pearson has made 32 relief appearances with the Blue Jays this season and holds a 5-2 record, 5.31 ERA and 39 strikeouts over 39.0 innings.
