Bullpen reinforcements are arriving for the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays recalled relievers Brendon Little and Lazaro Estrada ahead of Saturday's game against the Chicago White Sox (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 3 p.m. ET / noon PT).
Canada's Adam Macko and righty CJ Van Eyk, who recorded his first major-league strikeout on Friday, were optioned to triple-A.
Little, 29, returns to the Blue Jays with a 27.00 ERA in six MLB appearances this season, having coughed up 14 earned runs in 4.2 innings with seven strikeouts and six walks.
The veteran lefty has fared better at triple-A Buffalo, however, recording a 2.53 ERA over 30 games (32 innings).
Estrada, 27, holds a 2.84 ERA in two games at the MLB level this season and a 3.00 mark in eight triple-A appearances.
Meanwhile, minor-league starter Jake Bloss has been sidelined with a shoulder injury, per manager John Schneider. There is no timeline for his return to action as the team assesses the severity.
