Infielder William Wagner is back with the big club.
The Toronto Blue Jays recalled Wagner from triple-A Buffalo and optioned outfielder Alan Roden to the Bisons on Saturday.
Wagner batted .186 with 11 hits and two RBIs in 20 games with the Blue Jays earlier this season.
The 26-year-old from Houston was sent down to the Bisons in late April and missed some time in May due to a foot injury.
Roden hit .206 with one home run and eight RBIs in 42 games with the Blue Jays. The 25-year-old rookie missed three games last week due to right knee inflammation.
The Blue Jays (44-37) sit three games back of the New York Yankees for the division lead and have won three of their past four contests.
Right-handed pitcher Chris Bassitt heads to the mound Saturday as the Blue Jays look for another win over the Boston Red Sox. Watch live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ starting at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT.
