Blue Jays reinstate Biggio from IL, option to triple-A Buffalo

The Toronto Blue Jays have reinstated Cavan Biggio from the injured list and optioned him to triple-A Buffalo.

Biggio tested positive for COVID-19 back on April 25. The 27-year-old began a rehab assignment on May 10 with Buffalo.

Biggio has struggled this season slashing .043/.214/.043 through 13 games.

Toronto will keep a bench of Zack Collins, Raimel Tapia, Bradley Zimmer and Vinny Capra with Biggio going to Buffalo.
