Blue Jays release INF Lenyn Sosa from triple-A

Lenyn Sosa's time with the Toronto Blue Jays organization has come to an end.

The infielder was released from triple-A Buffalo on Friday, the team announced.

Sosa has been with the Bisons since being activated from the 60-day injured list on Aug. 18 with a right wrist contusion.

In 17 games in triple-A, he was slashing .254/.309/.397 with a .706 OPS and five extra-base hits.

The 26-year-old was an early-season acquisition by the Blue Jays from the Chicago White Sox. He struggled in Toronto, batting .188 with one home run and one walk in 28 games.
