Ryan Borucki is heading back to Buffalo.
The left-hander cleared outright waivers on Thursday and has been reassigned to triple-A Buffalo, the Toronto Blue Jays announced.
Borucki, 31, was caught in a numbers game when the Blue Jays decided to call up top prospect Trey Yesavage, and was designated for assignment on Monday to clear up a spot on the 40-man roster.
In four games during his second stint with the Blue Jays, the lefty has blanked opponents through 4.1 innings, striking out five while allowing three hits and four walks.
Borucki tossed 1.2 scoreless innings for the Bisons this season, issuing one walk and one hit-by-pitch.
