The Toronto Blue Jays have brought back some left-handed pitching depth.
Reliever Joe Mantiply has signed with the Jays on a minor league contract with an invite to spring training, the team announced on Tuesday.
Mantiply, 35, is coming off a 2025 campaign that ended in triple-A with the Buffalo Bisons, where he posted a 3.45 ERA in 14 appearances.
Last season in the Majors with the Diamondbacks, he threw just 9.2 innings and allowed 17 runs for a 15.83 ERA.
The best stretch of his career came from 2022-24, where the southpaw logged at least 39 innings each year and recorded just one season with an ERA over 4.00.
In 2022, Mantiply earned his lone all-star nod and posted a career-best 2.85 ERA with 61 strikeouts in 60 innings.
