Blue Jays' Springer remains out of the starting lineup for second straight game

Arash Madani and Shi Davidi discuss the Blue Jays' play of late, how a sense of urgency is fueling the team during their trip to New York in their series against the Yankees, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr's milestone achievement.

For the second game in a row, George Springer will not be in the starting lineup for the Blue Jays when they play the Yankees on Saturday (1 p.m. ET on Sportsnet).

Prior to the game, manager John Schneider said Springer is available to pinch hit. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is also taking the day off.

Springer fouled a ball off his knee during a five-hit outing Thursday that led to a 9-2 series-opening win in the Bronx. He did not play on Friday.

The four-time all-star has battled a lingering elbow injury and just returned from the injured list on Monday. He was the designated hitter in three games since his return and pinch-hit in another game.
