Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer and rookie pitcher Alek Manoah captured Player of the Week and AL Rookie of the Month honours respectively.
Springer batted .500 (13-for-26) while recording eight runs, three home runs and 10 RBIs in six games played.

In his final game of the regular season against the Baltimore Orioles, Springer recorded his sixth career grand slam. He also homered in consecutive games for the fourth time in 2021 and the 25th of his career.
Springer finished the 2021 season with a .264/.352/.907 slash line, with 22 home runs and 50 RBIs.

Manoah recorded a 4-0 record in the month of September, posting a 3.38 ERA with 41 strikeouts, 15 walks and 23 hits over 37.1 innings pitched. His most impressive outing in September came against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sept. 13, where he recorded 10 strikeouts in eight innings pitched.
Manoah tied Aaron Sanchez (2015) for the second-lowest ERA by a rookie in Blue Jays history (3.22 ERA). His 127 strikeouts were the most in a pitcher's first 20 career games in team history.
