The Toronto Blue Jays will be missing one of their more dependable starters in the coming days.
Right-hander Ross Stripling is going on the 15-day injured list with a right glute/hip strain retroactive to Sunday , the Blue Jays announced Wednesday.
Matt Peacock has been called up from triple-A Buffalo to take Stripling's spot on the roster and will work out of the bullpen.

Stripling's next start was slated to be Saturday in Minnesota.
The Blue Jays acquired right-hander Mitch White from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday and he could be a candidate to take Stripling's spot in the rotation.
The Blue Jays optioned White to Buffalo on Wednesday. He is expected to be in Minnesota as part of the taxi squad.
