Tyler Fitzgerald is moving on to his third team of this young season.
The utilityman was traded by the Toronto Blue Jays to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday for cash considerations.
Fitzgerald was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays on Friday. He was acquired by the Blue Jays from the San Francisco Giants in early April but never appeared in a game for Toronto.
The 28-year-old has appeared in 178 career games with the Giants from 2023-25, mostly as a second baseman but also as an outfielder.
Fitzgerald broke out with 15 home runs, 34 RBIs and an .831 OPS over 96 games in 2024, but has struggled with injury and underperformance since.
